Its AM

Its 12 am in the morning :)

Al Jordan

Time

At midnight it is considered 12 a.m. and at noon is 12 p.m. Hope you won the argument.

HALF FULL...HALF EMPTY????

Your gas gauge reads 1/2...is it half empty or half full?
Your water glass is at the 1/2 mark...is it half full or half empty?? answer: if it's going down (driving or drinking) it's 1/2 empty...If it's going up (at the pump or faucet) it's 1/2 full...seems so simple, but SO MANY can't answer the queston...

It is A.M.

This is easier to express in military (ZULU) time, based on a 24 hour clock. At a minute before midnite the time is 23:59 hours. At exactly midnight the time rolls over to 00.00 hours and then to 00.01 hours so you can easily see midnight is the beginning of the next day or (a.m.).

THANKS AL

BUT, I DO HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU REMEBER ME OR NOT BUT AOBUT A YEAR AGO I HAD BROUGHT MY COMPUTER IN TO YOU FOR FIXING. SIMPLY BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT WORK. YOU TOLD ME THAT IT COULD NOT BE RESTORED OR RECOVERED OR IT WOULD LOCK ME OUT AGAIN. WELL, ABOUT A WEEK LATER I HAD TO COME BACK TO YOU BECAUSE MY BOYFRIEND WAS TO STUBBORN TO LISTEN AND TRY TO RECOVER IT AGAIN, WELL AS WE BOTH KNOW IT LOCKED ME OUT AND I HAD TO COME BACK TO YOU. YOU GAVE ME A LITTLE DISCOUNT SINCE I HAD JUST BEEN TO YOU WITH THE SAME PROBLEM.

MY QUESTION IS THIS, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR COMPUTER WHEN YOU MOVE YOUR MOUSE AND ALL THE ICONS WANT TO HIGHLIGHT? I DO COLLEGE ONLINE AND CANNOT AFFORD A NEW COMPUTOR ALTHOUGH I HAD TO GO TO RENT A CENTER FOR THE TIME BEING. I HALF TO GET THIS FIXED UNTIL I CAN AFFORD TO GET A NEW COMPUTOR OUT RIGHT IF NOT I WILL HAVE LOST ALMOST 3,000 DOLLARS IN CLASS FEES FOR NOTHING BECAUSE I CAN'T GET ONLINE TO TAKE THEM. I WILL FAIL THE CLASSES AND WASTE THE MONEY THAT I STILL HAVE TO PAY BACK WHEN I GRADUATE.

PLEASE HELP ME

THANKS,

TRACEY SEXTON

WISHFUL THINKING LOL

THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN LOL

GOOD POINT

THANK YOU FOR THAT I MIGHT HALF TO USE THAT ONE ON HIM. LOL

EXACTLY

HE WAS IN THE ARMY AND THAT IS WHAT HE IS GOING BY. HE KEEPS SAYING THAT IT ISN'T A.M UNTIL IT IS 1 MINUTE AFTER MIDNIGHT. BUT, THAT IS INCORRECT, IT IS MIDNIGHT WHEN IT SAYS 12:00 A.M, HE WANTS TO BELIEVE THAT IT IS STILL P.M AT 12 MIDNIGHT. WITH HIM I WILL NEVER WIN THE ARGUMENT.

BUT, WITH EVERYONE ON MY SIDE WITH THIS ONE I TRUELY BELIEVE I HAVE. LOL

Answer to Confusion at PM-Noon and AM-Midnight

“AM” stands for the Latin phrase Ante Meridiem —which means “before noon”—and “PM” stands for Post Meridiem : “after noon.” Although digital clocks routinely label noon “12:00 PM” you should avoid this expression not only because it is incorrect, but because many people will imagine you are talking about midnight instead. The same goes for “12:00 AM.” Just say or write “noon” or “midnight” when you mean those precise times.

To avoid confusion, the correct designation for twelve o'clock is 12 noon or 12 midnight. Alternatively, the twenty-four-hour-clock system may be used. The abbreviation a.m. stands for ante-meridiem (before the Sun has crossed the line) and p.m. for post-meridiem (after the Sun has crossed the line). At 12 noon the Sun is at its highest point in the sky and directly over the meridian. It is therefore neither "ante-" nor "post-".

The Sun is only highest at noon measured in local Solar time, which is practically never equal to the civil time shown on clocks.

In the United States, noon is often called "12:00 p.m." and midnight "12:00 a.m."

The 24-hour clock notation avoids all of those ambiguities by using 00:00 for midnight at the start of the day and 12:00 for noon. From 23:59:59 the time shifts (one second later) to 00:00:00, the beginning of the next day. Some variants of 24-hour notation (including the world standard ISO 8601) use 24:00 when referring to a midnight at the end of a day.

Since the word meridies means noon or midday, it is, strictly speaking, illogical to refer to noon as either "12 a.m." (12 ante meridiem, 12 hours before noon) or as "12 p.m." (12 post meridiem, 12 hours after noon). On the other hand, midnight could logically be called either "12 p.m." (12 post meridiem, 12 hours after the previous noon) or "12 a.m." (12 ante meridiem, 12 hours before the following noon); "x a.m." no longer literally means "x hours before noon", but "x hours into the day but before noon." or "x th hour before noon"

Converting Between AM/PM and 24 Hour Clock
making the conversion

Converting from AM/PM to 24 hour clock:
between 12:00 AM and 12:59 AM, subtract 12 hours:
12:59 AM --> 0059
between 1:00 AM and 12:59 PM, a straight conversion:
10:00 AM --> 1000

between 1:00 PM and 11:59 PM, add 12 hours:
10:59 PM --> 2259

Converting from 24 hour clock to AM/PM:
between 0000 and 0059, add 12 hours:
0059 --> 12:59 AM
between 0100 and 1159, straight conversion to AM:
0100 --> 1:00 AM

between 1200 and 1259, straight conversion to PM:
1259 --> 12:59 PM

between 1300 and 2359, subtract 12 hours:
1559 --> 3:59 PM

Undisputable Fact as long as the earth rotates.

wow no offense but your man

wow no offense but your man is off his rocker! HE HE You totally won this one.

12am or 12pm

Neither one is correct. The correct time is 12 noon and 12 midnight.

My thoughts

11:59:59 PM -> 00:00:00 (nothing)-> 00:00:01
