Celebration honoring Elwood Olympian Mary Beth Dunnichay This Sunday! 3 Bands

It's being reported in the Indy Star That Laura Wilkinson is suing the committee to put her on the team. It goes on to state if she is on , it knocks Mary Beth off the team. Which doesn't seem fair. The hearing is set for Friday. Hope all goes well for Mary Beth!

So have you heard anymore on this? Let us know if and when you do, this is a bunch of crap if they take Mary Beth out of the picture!

I read this on the indystar.com web site. If I remember correctly it said the suit will be ruled on today in California. It would be a bunch of crap. I don't know much about how these things work, but common sense tells me they wouldn't change, It looks like the other girl is a little bit spoiled. Who would want to be on the team if you have to sue to get your way, pathetic.
If I see anything on it I will let everyone know.

Well the controversy is because of the way the selection process was changed this year to be similar to the selection process they do in gymnastics. I think the reason she is suing is because if they would not have changed it, Laura and her partner would have been the team selected, but she needs to get over it, they made changes in selection and people have to adapt to change. I am a huge olympic fan, I love the winter olympics the best. Laura is still going to the olympics as an individual platform diver. Haley also made it as an individual platform diver. Sounds like Laura needs to just move on and stick with her individual and let the young ones have the team event. Laura is 30 yrs old, you know these young ones are only going to get better!

Can my girls 10 and 13 get their picture taken with Mary Beth?
I talk about Elwood and growning up there and this is the first national thing that has happened in a while. I would love for them to get a photo of her and make th Olympics more personal for them.

I don't see why not, I think Mary Beth would be honored to do it. Call and ask her parents...great idea and something for your kids to show their kids, grand kids, etc...

In case no one has heard, which some of you might have already, USA Diving has upheld the decision made for Mary Beth. Congratulations to Mary Beth and Haley, They are going to the Olympics. Let's wish them well and show her our support.

Congrats Mary Beth and Haley, we went out tonight and it was a very fun event. The kids loved it and really enjoyed getting an autograph and picture with Mary Beth! Elwood did a really nice job in showing support!
