MRS. GROOVER LOOKING FOR HELP

Okay, I know this may sound silly, but I am looking for some small plastic swimming pools to fill up with blocks, cars, Legos, and other kinds of toys so the kids can gather around them in the gym each morning to play. If you have a pool you can part with, please let us know. I can't find any to purchase unless I want to pay big shipping charges. I am also looking for "goodies" to put in the pools like those items I mentioned. The kindergarten and first grade students will be in the gym with these items, and the second graders will be in the cafeteria with checkers, Connect 4, Uno, and other such games. The third graders will be in the computer labs each morning. Let me know if you can help me out with anything I have mentioned!! Thanks!! I don't like them sitting so long with nothing to do!!! Bev

The City of Elwood is in the process of developing a Comprehensive Plan.

The Plan is an advisory document that analyzes the needs and wishes of the City and its residents by setting specific policies and strategies to help direct the City towards a realization of its goals.

To ensure the plan is representative of all residents, we need to hear from YOU! It is critical that we get as many community members involved in the process as possible. Attend the public meetings, read the articles in the Call Leader, comment on draft documents and take the survey.  Once completed the survey can be e-mailed to ahenderson@mccog.net, dropped off at City Hall or the Elwood Library, or mailed to the address listed below. Please complete only one survey per person and encourage other members of your household to complete it as well. Thank you for your participation! The survey must be returned by Aug 23. 2010
