Yesterday at the Statehouse the full Senate began its deliberations on the state budget bill. As we moved through the amendment phase of the process, senators debated numerous proposals including a measure that I supported to move forward on university building projects.
These projects include remodeling, renovating and new construction projects for the state's higher education facilities including $20 million for Ivy Tech in Anderson. It is crucial that we begin work on these projects immediately, investing in state infrastructure and putting unemployed Hoosiers back to work.
Although the amendment failed, it is still eligible for consideration as the bill moves forward. I will continue to work to get this included in the final version of the state budget.
Sincerely,
Tim Lanane
State Senator

Woot! Anderson Ivy Tech student right here. Compared to the Muncie campus and even Lawrence ours needs help. It is very small in size, while the parking lot is overflowing. Nowww, if they would just let me into the ASN program. LOL.
