A Fleeting Moment's (barn name Crystal) Mom and the other Horses of The Kramer Arabians will be sold for Slaughter on Saturday, June 23rd, 2007 UNLESS the United States Equine Rescue League, Inc. can raise the funds to purchase the horses from the current owner. The owner refuses to Bequeath the horses to the USERL and stated the horses will be taken to the Shipshewana sale and be sold for slaughter. So the USERL must come up with the funds to purchase the horses to save them. This is just a short part of the story of A Fleeting Moment, her Mom, and the other horses of The Kramer Arabians taken in and cared for by the USERL: This filly had the unfortunate luck of being born on the coldest day in years in Northern Indiana, when temperatures were roughly negative 20 degrees... Thanks to a good Samaritan who noticed the filly lying on the ground as she drove by, this filly now has a chance at life—something that was almost taken from her at only hours of age... By the afternoon, the owner had agreed to allow the foster to take both the mare and filly to her barn, where they would at least be out of the elements... By that evening, the owner agreed to sign the filly over to USERL so that she could receive much needed medical attention... The owner has since told us that there are two other mares in the same field who are pregnant and will be facing the same challenges, therefore, has agreed to sign over all future foals to USERL... The mares have been moved to a suitable facility in which to give birth. Crystals full story: http://www.userlindiana.org/our_horses.html We only have till Friday, June 22nd, 2007 to raise the funds to save these horses!!! Please, if you can, send donations to save the horses to https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr and please remember to say "donation is for The Kramer Arabians " in the "notes" section or the "address line 2" field of the form. Or go to http://www.userl.org/donate/donate.html If you can not send a donation, please, forward this email onto anybody and everybody you can.
