Firefox rocks and

Firefox rocks and Thunderbird is an excellent E-Mail client. I recommend both.

I Agree :)

Firefox 3 is much faster loading pages, less buggy than IE 7 and much more secure! Microsoft seems to be swiping ideas from other companies and incorporating it into their own software. IE 7 was a rush job to try to keep up with Firefox and its cool tabbed browser.

As far as email clients go, I prefer the web based approach. Web based email clients like, MSN, Yahoo, Google, etc. can be checked from any computer anywhere you go. You also don't have to worry about changing your email address every time you change service providers, like from DSL to Cable for instance. You never have to worry about losing your Contacts or emails when your computer crashes because their not kept on your computer. They also have built in virus protection now that checks files before you download them to your computer. Using the yahoo approach, I have had the same email address for over 7 years now but went thru several service providers and computers over the years. It's a hassle to change email addresses every time you change providers. Having to email all your friends and say hey, this is my new email and if your computer crashes, you have to retype all your contacts and information plus the loss of all those important emails you will never get back. These days Its just less of a hassle for me with web mail :)

Well, I don't really care

Well, I don't really care for Microsoft's business practices too much. They are bully's. I am looking forward to when the traditional OS goes out the "window" in favor of something more web oriented. Google is getting there it seems.

Speaking of Google and web based mail, I completely agree about the portability issue. Gmail is great and so is yahoo and a few of the others.

thunderbird is good for managing multiple accounts and other nice e-mail tricks and features.
