Purple Heart Recipent Hangs Himself In The Elwood Jail ***UPDATED***

Under:

Hi everyone. Sorry but out of respect to the fact that a man is burying his son today, I am shutting down the comments on this post for a few days until everyone settles down and has a little time to collect their thoughts. Today our thoughts and prayers should go out to a fallen soldier. If you want to talk about something, you will have to start a new thread in the forums!

Regarding tonight's Call Leader Story. Reporter Metina Miller Reported in the paper that Tim Israel had been convicted of two different Felonies. One for intimidation and one for theft. That information is incorrect. Convicted Felons can not serve in the armed forces so I just thought I would point that out to everyone.

The viewing for Tim will be Tuesday from 2 pm to 8 pm at Dunnichay Funeral Home
and the Funeral mass will take place at 11 am Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. If you want to ride in the precession, please be there by 10:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Tim Israel after being pulled over several times by the Elwood Police Department has hung himself in the Jail. Tim had recently came back from serving in Iraq.

**UPDATE**
Timothy K. Israel, 23, was discovered hanging in a holding cell at about 2:30 p.m. He was pronounced dead at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital at about 2:45 p.m.
