Suspicious Vehicle

I would like to address the citizens of Elwood concerning the suspicious vehicle that was reported in Elwood on Sunday. I know not everyone reads the paper, thats why I am trying to reach out to everyone. This has scared us tremendously! What has our humble little town come to? When you cannot let your little girls play in your own yard without a worry that a child predator is lurking around. What kind of sick sick man would do this?
I commend the father that had the courage to chase him down until the police were able to apprehend him, what father wouldn't do that. He is lucky that good ole dad just didn't take matters in his own hands. If it were my daughter that had been terrorized for months there is no telling what would happen if my husband had a chance to get his hands on him.
Here is a little better description of him. Approximately 5'7 black straight hair just below his ears, usually wears it slicked back. Some facial hair. He is a medium built man. Usually drives a black dodge shadow faded so bad its almost grey.
Parents be ware and make sure your little children understand not to talk to strangers no matter what. Keep your little ones close know where they are at all times. I see so many elementary age girls walking to and from school alone, stop and think about what could happen to them..

Has anyone heard or does anyone know what the status of this vehicle/person is? I am just curious if he is still lurking around or if he has moved on.

No he is still around. Living on South P Street near 26th Street. My family had to have a restraining order placed on him in order to get him to stay away from our home.

I would rather not give a name. I can only say that he has not been convicted of anything, but hopefully time will prevail. He stalks little girls by setting in front of their homes while they play in the yard. If he is driving by and sees a girl outside he will continue to case the neighborhood. He has gone as far as setting outside of one little girls home until her father caught him. This has gone on since September of last year. In January he was stalking her at the bus stop and then 3 weeks ago on a Sunday he drove by again and that is when her father chased him until the police caught up. My opinion why run if you have done nothing wrong. Guilt was admitted when he decided to run stop signs, go the wrong way on a one way, and nearly lost control and almost slid in to the creek at South M & 22nd street. The skid marks are still present. I know this family that it has been happening to very well and this is not a joking matter. I have heard that there have been other girls that have come forward and made allegations against him. So I believe its just a matter of time before he gets ahold of some girl and takes away one of the most precious things in life. Her innocence! The good news is that the police a very invloved with the case and maybe it will be stopped. Please Please parents be sure that your children understand "NOT" to talk to strangers no matter what. If approached start screaming very loud and run.
