UPDATE: The Guest Feature has new moderators --- PLEASE READ ---

UPDATE: I have a couple of the members that have offered to moderate and approve the comments so I won't have to anymore which will leave me more time to devote to other things now. Thanks to the members for helping out. Do we have any junior reporters out there that would like to write some local news from time to time for the site? I ask because a lot of members want more news but with my job and other duties on the site, I don't have enough time to go get much news :) but I could make a new content type called community or citizen news where the members tell a news story once in a while. Its an interesting concept it would just depend on if people got involved. If interested just let me know in the comments below. Thanks

ORIGINAL STORY:
I have disabled the Guest feature as I have become too busy to sit and read all the guest posts everyday. Sorry for any convenience but membership is free and the posts go right through. If anyone else has time to moderate the guest posts let me know and I will turn them back on.

Also I am looking for some volunteers to help me with the site. Wouldn't require much time. For the last 3 years I and sometimes KPaul have pretty much done everything from covering events and news whenever I can to keeping everything updated and running and trying to keep up with all the guest comments every day. My work is suffering because of all the phone calls or people stopping in wanting to talk about or wanting me to post something on the website. Its taking forever to get anything done these days. Jason Brizendine Stopped in to tell me his side of whats being said on this site and hes not happy to say the least. Some people on here think hes writing a lot of the posts on here but he sure didn't seem to know how to find anything on the site very easily. Don't really mean much just an observation. I just figure if someone is posting to this site then they should know how to get around in it better. He really didn't seem to know much about it. He said one of the dispatchers showed it to him and he didn't know where to pull it up but the information the dispatcher showed him was wrong.

I put up a poll just to see what people thought and the next day the Mayor's office called and asked me to let people know they were still taking applications and had not interviewed anyone yet because people who did not have computers were calling the Mayor's office and voting for who they wanted chief. The Mayors Secretary was not amused.

People need to realize is that this website is owned by me, not the city government. I built it for the community to spread the word about whatever and keep each other informed so please whenever I post a poll, its for online use only. Thanks.

The Elwoodindiana.org Community will continue to grow but I can't really keep doing everything myself and because the sites free I can't hire anyone either so any help would be appreciated. Just use the sites contact form if interested. Thanks
